Do you remember 2020? That’s what future generations will be saying about the year that made an impact on the whole world! Every single person on the whole planet will have a story to tell about how it affected their life, about how they, or people around them, were busily racing around from one job to another (as had become our want), promising ourselves that one day we would find a better ‘work-life’ balance; trying to do our bit to help ‘The Environment’ but feeling that it all seemed too little too late, and what could we do to manage our ‘own’ wellbeing and help those around us? And all of a sudden . . . . everything STOPPED!
‘Special’ people rose to the fore, and we had time to ‘notice’ what they do. While we rested and made the most of re-engaging with home and loved ones, they worked ‘even’ harder, seeing even less of home and loved ones.
There was joy to be found in realising opportunities that we thought we would never have time for, but frustration that our outside-four-walls ‘choice’, had been removed.
For others ‘life’ as we see it, was stopped completely.
Even funeral directors struggled as the moment dictated ‘no goodbyes’. . . a lonely coffin, a few funeral flowers.
‘Full availability’ had become our mantra. No more. . . and yet it doesn’t seem to matter, except for PPE & testing!
If you need flowers for a funeral to ‘be’ with your loved one, we may be able to help. A funeral basket is very natural and could also be enjoyed 'after'. Casket sprays can be simple or magnificent, and are often a good option for families that would prefer to combine their contributions and have one fabulous 'Joint Tribute'.
Meanwhile we all take many a moment to ponder the reality as we see it, that so many people who once blessed our lives no longer appear to be with us, except in our hearts and minds.
CoVid19 what a legacy you have left us . . . but the air is cleaner, the animals are returning, and the bird song is louder, as the planet begins - the ‘healing’ process!
