Easter 2020 is going to be very different that is for sure! Traditionally we can’t wait to start moving around MORE as the better weather arrives, this year we have to start moving around LESS. No need to go out to get beautiful fresh flowers delivered, to enjoy in your home as we all spend more ‘family’ time together!
Cheerful and bright with cerise pink Gerbera and yellow Genista the SPRING COLLECTION brings with it a showstopping SCENT with the prettiest long-lasting Hyacinths, and with so many beautiful little bell shaped flowers lining their stalks they never cease to amaze. Tulips are a great favourite along with ‘touchy/feely’ Pussy Willow stems gathered in true Easter form with the softer foliage textures and tones, white phlox, pale pink alstroemeria and chubby buttermilk coloured spray roses.
FLORIST TIP - Our wonderful SPRING COLLECTION has something for every room!
For some people ‘less is more’ for those people you would choose the TULIP BUNDLE. We buy English Tulips wherever possible (although the Dutch are quite good at growing Tulips 😉). We like to use all the colours but a short ‘note to florist’ and we can bundle colour/s of your choosing with branches of Pussy willow, Thlaspi foliage and a touch of Sea Lavender and tied with raffia.
FLORIST TIP – Just put a little water in the vase at a time and your Tulips will behave better and last longer! Watch in awe as your Tulips continue to grow in the vase, but be ready to tidy they up with a little trim if they get a little ‘lanky’.
Scented Freesia with pink tipped Lisianthus bought together in our FREESIA FAVOURITE are everyone’s ‘darling’ flowers! Stunningly vibrant on a bed of lime green Chrysanthemum and interspersed with strong violet Liatris pokers midst folds of Eucalyptus foliage in a romantic haze of lilac Sea Lavender and Asparagus fern . . .for the discerning choice.
FLORIST TIP – remove lower flowers of the Lisianthus as the higher ones continue to grow and bloom.
EASTER LONGIFLORUMS are a traditional choice at this time of the year. Jaw dropping trumpet shaped Lilies accompanied here with yolk coloured Gerbera look and smell magnificent, especially when centrally place – in your hall perhaps? Masterfully arranged here with daisies and yellow Genista for a natural Easter ‘outdoorsy’ feel.
FLORIST TIP with this ‘not for cat-owners bouquet’ is too remove the pollen as soon as you see it, while it is still dry and before it ‘fluffs up’
